About the Project

The new Krum ISD Middle School project broke ground in late 2024 and has continued to progress throughout Texas’s always-challenging rainy season, as well as several periods of unseasonably wet weather in 2025. Located in Krum, Texas, the 169,736-square-foot facility will accommodate the district’s growing student body, serving grades 6 through 8.

What We Did

Like much of the Dallas–Fort Worth region, Krum, Texas, sits on top of highly expansive soil, and the new Krum ISD Middle School project was no exception. Spanning more than 169,000 square feet, the project required an extended period of concrete work, navigating the expected rainy season delays and unpredictable weather throughout much of the year. In a build of this scale, timing was everything.

The VoidForm team collaborated closely with the Huckabee engineering team during the design phase and with Miller Sierra Contractors, Gallagher Construction Services, and Premier Services to coordinate on-time deliveries for each phase of the installation.

Each 15,000–25,000-square-foot pour was completed in five-day intervals, requiring near-daily communication with the VoidForm logistics team as schedules shifted around wet forecasts and other on-site delays. Using VoidForm’s dedicated delivery fleet, materials were staged and delivered to keep crews on schedule without interruption.

As one of the largest Mudskipper installations to date, this project showcased the strength of VoidForm’s logistics team, who carefully organized each delivery to align with the contractor’s installation schedule. Through proactive communication, VoidForm helped Premier Services avoid downtime.

Through close coordination, adaptive scheduling, and reliable on-time delivery, VoidForm helped keep the Krum ISD Middle School project on track despite challenging weather and soil conditions. VoidForm helps mitigate the risk of expansive soil, ensuring the new Krum Middle School serves the community for decades to come.
