VoidForm designs, manufactures, and distributes a suite of solutions to protect concrete structures from the damage caused by expansive, collapsible, corrosive, and seismic soil conditions. With an extensive delivery network in the US and Canada, it’s easier than ever to satisfy the plan requirements and improve the longevity of the project.
Whether ordered directly or sourced from one of our distributor-partners, ordering void forms is a straightforward process, from free take-off services to on-time delivery to on-site demos. Here’s the typical flow of the ordering process from the initial quote through to installation.

1. Collect Project Data
Whether it’s a SureVoid® or StormVoid® system, each product is designed to support placing wet concrete and steel with an allowance for working loads.
To ensure an accurate quote and subsequent product performance, you’ll need to collect detailed project information or provide the project plans to your VoidForm Account Manager or Product Advisor, including:
✔ Project details like location, contact information, general and subcontractor information
✔ Slab measurements, including specified void height, slab thickness, and total square footage
✔ Wall/Beam measurements, including void height, void width, wall height, and total linear footage
✔ Pier measurements such as the diameter of piers, number of piers hole placement pier cap, and dimensions of dropped heads

Planning for a large-scale or complicated project? You can also send the project plans directly to VoidForm’s Estimating Team. Our takeoff services are free of charge.
2. Wet Ground Considerations
Depending on the risk of inclement weather or concrete placement delays, you’ll also want to consider your void options. VoidForm offers two distinct void systems: biodegradable and non-degradable.
Both are designed to collapse in response to the pressures of swelling soils. However, SureVoid, the paper-based degradable void system, is designed to degrade when exposed to wet conditions to create a permanent void space. SureVoid is ideal for stable weather and dry soil conditions.
StormVoid is the recommended option if rain, sleet or snow is in the forecast or there is a delay in concrete placement. With an internal cellular structure made from copolymer polypropylene, StormVoid is designed to withstand installation challenges, specifically wet ones. Even in submerged conditions, it is durable enough to support the initial concrete load yet designed to collapse under the high pressures of surrounding expansive soils.

3. Order and Delivery
With the quote approved, VoidForm’s Client Services Team works with the General Contractor and Concrete Subcontractor to coordinate the delivery schedule according to the project and concrete pour timelines.
In the U.S., VoidForm maintains a national logistics network for ease of delivery and can meet tight project schedules. In Canada, the manufacturing headquarters are centrally located in Winnipeg, and our Canadian team facilitates national delivery.
4. Installation
Once materials arrive on site, the installation process is simple, and both systems are designed to ensure fast and efficient installation, minimizing labor costs.
The biodegradable SureVoid system must be protected from the elements before installation. It must stay dry before the concrete is placed to maintain its structural integrity and preserve its ability to create a permanent below-grade void space.
In contrast, non-degradable StormVoid is built to withstand wet site conditions, maintaining its integrity through inclement weather and unexpected delays in concrete work.
StormVoid and SureVoid products are pre-manufactured to each project’s unique specifications. This smart design eliminates the need for field-cutting and fitting around drilled piers while minimizing site cleanup and reducing labor requirements, making installation more streamlined and efficient than most void alternatives.

Ready To Source VoidForm on Your Next Project?
As part of VoidForm’s promise, we also offer end-to-end support. That means in-person educational sessions for engineers and architects in the pre-design phase, free takeoffs during the planning stage, and on-site assistance to demonstrate best practices for contractors during installation.
